Classic Living Room 07

This is very good! The detailing is exquisite. However, I think you could create a more unifying feel by letting the wainscoting base continue around the whole room. In addition, a coffered ceiling would go very well with the traditional wood elements and will greatly add to the feeling of old-world elegance.
The LCD TV seems forced, and I think the whole piece could benefit more from a painting or family portrait. Besides, it doesn't seem to be a very practical place for a TV anyway. Lastly, the area rug just doesn't seem to fit. Perhaps it is just me, but the intricacy paired with the bright colors contrasts with the neutral pastel color scheme that is working so well. I would either tone the colors down, or find a simpler pattern. Consider using a contemporary rug as it would compliment the modern design of the door and, if the colors are right, would contribute to consistency of the room.
All in all, its a very good piece and I hope there will be plenty more to come!
